Drinking water approvals:
Although there are several European directives related to materials in contact with food ingredients that are applicable in all EU countries. The European regulation no 10/2011 is a specific measure for plastic food contact materials as mentioned in the European Framework Regulation EU 1935/2004.
In practice, this means that in any case, national legislation needs to be checked to decide if a product is sufficiently certified to be in contact with food ingredients.
